Teni - "Your Love Is The Key"

This is an interesting submission for the show. It's not often that I get to hear African pop artists and this is the first show submission from one. Teni has a very rich voice that has a relaxing appeal to it. Her video for, "Your Love Is The Key" was shot in the country of Ghana and the song is the premier single for her debut album entitled, "Afrodisiac". The song has a deep, consistent bass line but there is something very Caribbean about the song. The feel of it almost makes me want to call it a sort of electronic reggae. The vocals are solid and the video was stylized to pay homage to early 80's music. I would say that Teni has succeeded in recreating the feel of that era and her music is quite promising and well put together. Her debue album, "Afrodisiac" can be purchased online at iTunes, Amazon MP3 and Spotify. You can also keep up to date with Teni on both Twitter and Facebook at: facebook.com/Tenimusic and twitter.com/TeniMuse

Pia Dean - Clarity (is what I need) feat. Nikki Dine-Hart

What's better than a minimalist approach? Piano, strings and a gorgeous voice make for great music. This video submission from Pia Dean uses the perfect approach to achieving a truly delightful musical experience. The song is performed by Nikki Dine-Hart and her classical beauty compliments the simplicity of both the song and the video. Pia Dean is a songwriter from the UK and her music is nothing but refreshing in the age of over synthesized facades. Her list of musical influences include Amy Winehouse, Sade, James Morrison, Marvin Gaye and others that are regularly recognized by the world as true musicians. Jesse R.S. - Play

The zombie apocalypse is upon us! This video had me scratching my head at first as I failed to make the connection between a love song and a zombie woman until the end where it became apparent that a sacrifice of true love was made (watch to see). Jesse R.S. seems to be a more enigmatic artist than others that I've seen. His website doesn't lend much in terms of a biography so I can't say exactly where he's from or what he's about. His music is an easy listen that's appropriate for all ages. It's almost folksy with a touch of Pop and a bit of Rock thrown in for good measure. "Play" will latch onto your brain like a hungry zombie and stick inside your head all day if you're not careful. I'd like to know more about this Artist and seeing as how his music is growing in popularity online, chances are we will all be getting to know this artist very soon. Visit jessersmusic.com for more info.

Bella Bizelle - Fanbo

Bella Bizelle from Ann Arbor, Michigan is our next submission. Her music is very club friendly it offers a lot of variety. Her song, "Fanbo" is a repetitive, uptempo dance song with low bass lines reminiscent of early 90's dance music with a touch of late 90's Detroit techno. The song's lyrics are simple and express a young woman's desire for her certain love interest. Simple songs like this usually play well on Top 40 radio but fail to stick around for long in the collective conscious of the type of people that consume this sort of music. It's good music if you're a girl in the ages of 12-24, which isn't exactly a bad demographic to appeal to. I see a lot of potential in Bella Bizelle and we should all expect to be seeing a lot more from this Michigan girl in the future. Free From Gravity

The next submission comes from a band called Free From Gravity. The band is led by Vince Barnes. After initially listening to the music, my first thought was that it sounded very similar to an era, more than it did to an actual musical genre. It's very hard to categorize this music. It's definitely rock, but what kind? I was immediately taken to thoughts of the late 1960's and early 70's when I was never even alive to have witnessed those years. It's a pure sound with vocals that come from an honest place. Other band members that are included on Free From Gravitiy's most recent release, "The Long Road", include Muddy Manninen on the lead guitar, Bob Skeet on the bass, and Paul Newton on percussion. I was kinda catching a Beach Boys vibe from their song, Ï Have A Dream" and I thought to myself, 'Damn, this would be some ok music to listen to if you were on a lazy road trip with the car in cruise control...not bad. Junior Turner

The next submission is yet another one from the United Kingdom and he goes by the name of Junior Turner. Junior Turner has quite a story. He was catapulted into national fame in the UK when his cover for the song, "The Impossible Dream" gained people's attention. His music has a very positive message with some of the most purest sounding Soul & R&B grooves that I've heard in a long time. Junior Turner's music was selected out of 111,000 applicants to be the choice winner for the "BBC Children In Need" competition and his song, "Say Goodbye" was used for the war veteran's charity, "Hope For Heroes". The message of love in his music seems to manage to find itself being properly distributed to those that may appreciate it the most. This is music that everyone can, and should enjoy. To hear and learn more about Junior Turner's music and the man himself, go to:WWW.JUNIORTURNER.CO.UK or twitter @juniorturner84. Junior Turner's music can also be found on ITunes, Amazon.com and Google Play, as well. Cheers!

Monks of Mellonwah - Ghost Stories

Monks of Mellonwah is an alternative/indie rock group from Sydney Australia. Their video submission is for the song "Ghost Stories". It's a good sound coming from these guys. Their sound falls into step with what you would expect from anyone that calls themselves "indie" or "alternative". This is music that'll wake you up and get you moving. High tempo drums with heavy electric guitar riffs that suddenly downshift into slow melodies and then back to thrashing again. These guys are very radio friendly. I could see their music being in heavy rotation on any rock station. The Monks of Mellonwah are well produced, young, they sound great and they're puttin' in work. How could you deny these guys? Kudos to The Monks of Mellonwah from Sydney Australia for their great video submission. For more info on The Monks of Mellonwah, go to: monksofmellonwah.bandcamp.com

Ki Faro - The Black Bond

This submission is another one from across the pond in the U.K. and it comes from Ki Faro. The song is called The Black Bond and the video is well made and is an homage of sorts to the greatest fictional spy in cinema history, James Bond. Ki Faro's rap style is that real staccato, machine gun kind of flow that takes a little bit longer to master than the kind of rap flow you're used to hearing. The quality of the video itself is top notch in its editing and production. It was obviously made to entertain. This isn't music that's going to demand you to look into yourself and ask life's deepest questions about the human condition, this is just good old fashion braggadocio rap coupled with a visually entertaining video. Thumbs up to Ki Faro out of the U.K. for the great submission! I hope you all look forward to seeing this video on the next Frizzo Show because it has cut the mustard and it will be included. You can learn more about Ki Faro by visiting his site at: www.ki-faro.com Cheers!

Ignite The Fuse - Dubstep Violin (Fuse Duo, Linzi Stoppard and Ben Lee)

My first video submission is from a very sonically entertaining group called FUSE. They use a very original choice in musical instrument. They use the Electric Violin! How dope is that? Their sound can be defined as...contemporary classical? Yeah, I guess that works even if it is a bit of an oxymoron. The group is comprised of Linzi Stoppard and Ben Lee and they're hailing from the United Kingdom. I'd say this is highly enjoyable music and the electric twist applied to an old genre is a more than welcome way to redefine music. Their music has started to build steam online with over 3,000,000 collective video views on Youtube. The music speaks for itself. Bravo! Fuse Official
